About Me

Praises to the Most High God!

I am an educator, storyteller, wife and lover of Jesus Christ. I was born in Sumter, South Carolina to Jacob and Ida Shaw.  I discovered my gift of storytelling in the third grade when I realized how much my reading teacher loved reading my stories.  

I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in English and Teaching and also have many years of experience in theatre. I have written several stage plays and have had them produced.  I write in many different forms and genres: screen plays, stage plays, short stories, poetry, audio dramas, children's literature.  I love the classics and went back to school to get my master's in English at National University.  I am currently pursuing my Phd in educational leadership.

I am the 2019 District 52 Toastmaster International Speech contest winner and also have several years of teaching experience.  

I love hiking, going museums, traveling, and of course, writing.  I love the arts and literature!
